HUTCHINSON° Hutchinson Antivibration Systems, Ic., A Worldwide Company, is currently accepting applications for a Quality Engineer at its Cadillac, MI locatio. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for planning and conducting activities in an automotive manufacturing environment, concerned with quality assurance of processes, materials and products to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good interpersonal skills, and work well with cross functional teams including members from production, engineering, shipping, plant and office personnel. Must be strong in critical thinking using risk based methodology. Must have high attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to be a customer point of contact for quality functions. Lead 8D investigation and customer responses. IATF 16949 Internal Quality System Audit management/ knowledge. Experience in key customer portals, Ford, GM, FCA... etc. Team member in APQP meetings and Design Review activities. Must be able to read and understand blue prints (GD&T). Layered Process Audit management. Train or coordinate the training of departmental personnel to perform their job responsibilities in a proficient manner. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Minitab. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
